There are many key events, fights and reasons to celebrate women in all aspects. Because March is an important month and because science is my passion and work,
I want to 'show off' the initiative we at the Charles Darwin Foundation f or the Galapagos Islands started to highlight our women scientists.

And changing to the Peninsula of Yucatan, Mexico, the newspaper The Playa Times celebrated women by telling the stories of local women of the Riviera Maya. Here is the story of a fellow marine scientist (like me!), Dr. Vanessa Francisco, a who works in the conservation of our beautiful Riviera Maya.
